|| Alternate Wix Site can be found HERE ||

Attica is a broad spectrum of locations, running from frigid, treacherous mountains to wide, scorching deserts, and more and more is being discovered all the time as Vespers roam further South. Although the land is thought to be new to this world, strange ruins peek out from old hills, and even stranger cities thrive in the midst of undiscovered jungles.

Regions

ADMIRAL'S BOG
FISHING

Compared to the soft plains it brushes against, the bog is a dangerous, unnerving land that few dare to tread. Those that dare to live among the swamp's frightening muck are typically more dangerous than the waters themselves.

Type: Easy
Quest Reward: Emotional Stone.
    - 10% chance to restore 10 Health during any Activity.
Landmarks: The Iree Tree, Halicaeus's Shrine, Terminal Pond, Duskwalk.

DEVIL'S RIBCAGE
SPELUNKING

Carved out by Wurms and sculpted by past civilizations, a labyrinth of underground tunnels, lined with ores and gems, links Wormwood with much of Attica. It requires an experienced traveler to navigate, but even with a lantern, there is a constant chance of getting lost beyond recovery.

Type: Moderate
Quest Reward: To be announced
LandmarksWORMWOOD, Lantur Mines, The Wurm Nest, Spirit Pools, Cavern of Kings.

EVERCHANGE WOOD
EXPLORING

The Trees of this forest are almost bare of leaves and the underground is rocky with only small spurts of life growing through. One could almost call it barren despite how it is a forest and the many shifting roots always lead so something peculiar happening. The Everchange Woods seems filled with nothing but deep inclines and steep declines making for a very tiresome journey where it feels as if you are never quite alone.

Type: Moderate
Quest Reward: Piercing Ersak.
    - Has a 30% Chance to bring you an additional Item while scavenging OR cause the vesper not to loose Stamina while Scavenging. (50% chance for either option should the effect come into place)
LandmarksEthereal Lake, Grove of Ancients, Entangled Pass.

FRAYED WILDS
HUNTING

Past staggering cliffs of red dirt and strange minerals, the ground dropped. And dropped, and dropped, and dropped - and far below, where few dare to reach, one can see yellowed grasses and crooked trees, harsh shrubbery unfit for most of anything. The cliffs dip and rise, making traveling in a straight line in any direction a task. And there's no telling what's just over the rise.

Type: Moderate
Quest Reward: To be announced
Landmarks: Water-Bound Cavern, Dead Man's Rest, The Behemoth's Halo.

NOCA PINES
HUNTING

Edges tangled against the Mountains, pressed alongside the Tundra itself, is a thick pine forest known for the wildlife within. Although a popular hunting land, travelers find it easy to get lost among all the bushes and trees with so few landmarks.

Type: Easy
Quest Reward: Packs Howl.
     - In Combat: The Vesper has a 20% chance to either summon an ally on the first round of a Battle or to inflict the Fear effect on their opponent.
     - Out of Combat: Cannot be attacked in higher level regions with Attack and Defense requirements when accompanied by at least one other Vesper.
LandmarksSILER'S PONDSANCTUARY HUB, The Twin Stones, Webber's Corners.

SECLUDED SHORE
FISHING

Just beyond the Whiteout Mountains lies an untouched wonder, where warm pools splotch the otherwise cold landscape, attracting only those who can reach it. Connected to the mountain range by a hidden tunnel, a vast landscape filled with hot springs lies away from the reaches of civilization.

Type: Moderate
Quest Reward: To be announced
Landmarks: Westvale Cave, Krait's Fury, Scalloped Shore, Rippling Coast.

SKIPPER'S SOUND
Fishing

Where the sand meets the sea and ships come to port, an enormous drake calls the beach home. As summer heat plagues the land, the drake hauls himself from his winter cavern to collect more for his hoard - and to trade a few of his treasures away.

Type: Easy
Quest Reward: Waterbreather.
    - The Vesper, able to extract oxygen from water, may complete activities in Underwater Regions, and brings back an additional item when Fishing.
Landmarks: Kennee's Wreck, Caspen's Delight, Chillbreath Caves, Angler's Haven.

SUNDEW PLAINS
EXPLORING

One of the most populated regions, small villages dot the golden fields, and the plains are a favorite land to celebrate the Renewal Jamboree. A peaceful area, and a beloved resting place.

Type: Easy
Quest Reward: Golden Tablet.
         - In Combat: The tablet releases a blinding light, much stronger than its normal glow, which has a 50% chance to ward off incoming attacks on both the Vesper and any allies for one turn. [May only act once per three rounds of battle.]
        - Out of Combat: The Vesper is guaranteed to find 1-10 coins on any Activity submission.
LandmarksMeena Creek, Pressed Path, Burnt Tree, Chipped Rock.

THE OVERLOOK
Scavenging

Split in two by a ravine created during an ancient battle, a lush meadow lies where a war once came to a dramatic end. The nearby city of Kikoi seeks to mold its reputation into something more positive, but its history of mistreating Vespers, along with archaic sentiments and actions, have made this a difficult task.

Type: Moderate
Quest Reward: To be announced
Landmarks: Memoriam Stone, Kikoi City, Spirit Steps, The Dry Lands, Trek of Beasts.

VERMILLION TUNDRA
SCAVENGING

A mess of strange ruins and hard-packed ice, the only outstanding factor are the odd splashes of crimson across the ground in the form of brightly colored foliage. Many venture the frigid land to explore the old structures, seeking out funny treasures to sell at the market.

The Sanctuary By Vesper Hollow-das2s2l by atticancensus

Locations

ADDY'S GENERAL GOODS
Addy's shop is less a shop and more a blanket strewn out on the dirt. Woe betide the character who thinks they can filch something from Addy's wares - we hope you're not too attached to your fingers.

Type: Store/Crafting
Found in: Roaming
Unique Aspects: Item Pawning/Purchasing of Import Customization, General Goods Crafting.

BLACK BEADS
Nothing is more anxiety inducing than the room in front of you. You're not sure how they managed it, but there are beads. Beads of all size, shape, color, and they're all stacked accordingly in every corner of the room. The pathway looks far too narrow - but three steps in you realize there's no reason to fear at all. As your tail swishes dangerously close to a pile, there is the too tight feeling of magical fields and the bead stack bends out of your reach.

Type: Store
Found in: WORMWOODSurface Outpost.
Unique Aspects: Special Item Purchases.

BONES TRADING
Resting at the crossroads, propped up by a large, mossy boulder, is a skeleton. You look at it once, twice, before realizing that the thing is looking back. You're not sure how it has eyeballs, when there doesn't appear to be any other flesh on it. But it is definitely looking at you. A clattering laugh leaves the skeleton's dangling jaw, and you resist the urge to scramble out in the other direction.

Type: Unique
Found in: Roaming
Unique Aspects: Item Trading with Bones, Player Transfer's, Ownership Transfer's.

CASSY'S FORGE
Despite the cool autumn air, the space around the forge could be the surface of the sun. You don't know how you're expected to tolerate for the length of the transaction, never mind how anyone is supposed to function in the heat. Yet, a tall, well-dressed Dourin slams away at a strip of metal with a hammer, ignoring your existence entirely.

Type: Store/Crafting
Found in: CITY OF SOM, Marketplace.
Unique Aspects: Weapon and Armor Purchases. Forging.

EDEL'S EATERY
It's not quite clear if you've wandered into a kitchen or a disaster zone, but either way your stomach begins to growl - the scent is far too tasty to stand. You wonder vaguely if the coin in your pocket is enough to buy a few loaves of bread

Type: Store/Crafting
Found in: CITY OF SOM, Marketplace
Unique Aspects: Stat Boosting Food Purchases, Cooking.

JOHANNES APOTHECARY
You've never seen such a clutter in your life, or such an assortment of items. It's a bit ... off-putting, to say the least. More off-putting is the creature sitting on a pile of cushions juggling a half dozen potion bottles with one set of arms and sorting through inventory with another pair of hands. Is ... is that a Vesper? You're not sure. They are definitely unlike anyone else you've seen in Attica, but you have little time to dwell on it.

Type: Store/Crafting
Found in: CITY OF SOM, Marketplace.
Unique Aspects: Breeding Items/Potions Purchases, Alchemy.

The waters pooling between the roots of the trees is said to refresh any weary creature, to heal all wounds. Well. To a point. No one has ever proved the water can revive the dead or regrow a stolen limb, but it certainly is soothing.

Unique Aspects: Odd Jobs, Stamina/Health Restoration.
